NTS was one of the pioneers of alternative technologies and self-sufficiency systems in Australia. It has been operating as a company since 1980 and under the present management since 1986.

NTS sources components from numerous manufacturers which are then combined to form hybrid systems for the generation of power - for water heating, pumping, sewage treatment, water purification and composting.

When the system has been designed, it is installed and commissioned and performance optimised. Training of personnel to run the new systems is often undertaken.

Natural Technology Systems has been the BP Solar distributor in South Australia for the past 20 years.

Natural Technology System was successful in 1995 in being awarded the largest single contract ever in Australia for Hybrid Power Systems by the National Park and Wildlife Service in New South Wales.

Natural Technology Systems has a staff of professional people to attend to your enquiries including:   four “A” class Electricians, one Design Engineer Electrical, one Design Engineer Diesel Power Generation Plants and two Project Managers.

As BP Solar’s South Australian Distributor, Natural Technology Systems also has the worldwide expertise of BP Solar engineering, product support and warranty facility.

Mr Kim Atkinson, Managing Director of Natural Technology Systems, has been involved in the Renewable Energy Industry for the past 20 years.

Prior to this, he completed an Electrical Mechanical Apprenticeship and then acquired additional qualifications in Electronics and Refrigeration Mechanics. He spent 14 years as a Field Service Mechanic for Ellis & Clarke, which was acquired by O’Donnell Griffin, a large electrical engineering company. As a Service Mechanic, he spent considerable time working on breakdowns on ships and acquired an in-depth knowledge of DC systems operation.

Mr Atkinson acquired his training in business skills as a partner in a large wholesale company as the Company Sales Manager over a period of 8 years. In 1986, he purchased Natural Technology Systems, a renewable energy company, and has filled the position of Managing Director continuously for the last 20 years.
